Launch of new voice and message banking animation for people living with MND

We are delighted to announce the launch of a new short animation introducing voice banking and message banking with MND. What is voice and message banking? follows on from our What is MND? and What is Kennedy’s disease? animations launched earlier this year.

The animation features a voiceover and subtitles for accessibility. It is aimed at people with MND who may be newly diagnosed or interested in banking their voice. Brief introductions to voice and message banking are provided, with further detail about getting support to voice or message bank.

You can access the animation at:

The animation has been endorsed by the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists:

“The RCSLT is delighted to endorse the MNDA’s Voice Banking video. It provides a clear introduction to innovative technology which enables people with speech difficulties to capture their own voice. Speech and language therapists support individuals with communication difficulties and can provide advice on voice banking services.”

– Kamini Gadhok MBE, Chief Executive Officer of The Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists

We will promote the video through all our communication channels, including social media, but please use freely. It may also be helpful at events, where a short introduction to voice or message banking is needed.
