[NWABI Network (Manchester)] Disability Axe Throwing

In celebration of Occupational Therapy Week I am exploring the diverse nature of occupations and how meaningful occupation can differ from person to person.  I have teamed up with Whistle Punks Urban Axe Throwing in Manchester to provide a unique one off disability axe throwing session.  The activity has many therapeutic benefits from a psychical, psychological, cognitive and social point of view.  There is obviously an element of risk involved so it may not be appropriate for everyone, however, clients in wheelchairs are welcome as it can be thrown from a sitting position.  I would strongly encourage any case managers, therapists or support workers to come along to support the client and join in as well.  It will be a great day!
